Now on the rare occasion that anyone remembers the old stories about it, the thought of a forest being more than a dark hole, at which edges we scrape to fuel our stoves, is quickly extinguished.
Nobody has ever properly mapped it. There is no tall vantage point, no wide clearings, no straight paths. It would be impossible. Non the less, people tried... and instead, brought back strange plants.
Close to it a lord had made it his business to capitalise on trading these.
